I bake small-batch scratch made crumb cake in my home kitchen with creative flavor twists that evoke the taste memories of our collective favorite childhood snacks & treats. Emphasis on the crumb. Lots of sweet, tender, crunchy, buttery crumb. Whether for breakfast, snack, or dessert…from my oven to your tummy baked with love and care just like grandma taught me but with a flavor twist. Grandma encouraged me to bake outside the box & I say snack outside the box!

Me...the Crazy Baker
Hello, my name is Jill & I am crazy for crumbs! Crumbs are those little buttery crunchy nuggets of extra flavor & texture on top of some of my favorite foods. (mac-n-cheese anyone?) And especially on top of my favorite childhood special occasion treat: crumb cake. Grandma taught me to bake as soon as I was big enough to stand on a chair and help stir with a wooden spoon. She also taught me that recipes were just guidelines and that making substitutions using whatever you find in the pantry was just fine. I don’t have as much of a sweet tooth as I used to but when the urge strikes only scratch made will satisfy. Just like sweets fresh from grandma’s oven, I bake to capture a taste of childhood nostalgia and love.
